Latest Puck Junk Podcast: In Which We Discuss The Good, Bad & Ugly of 2019-20 Hockey Product

In the latest Puck Junk Podcast, Sal & I discuss some of the really good and not so good things in the 2019-20 hockey collecting season.  We discuss sets, releases, events, and other topics that hockey collectors got to experience in this very strange (and hopefully an anomaly) of a season.

We also discuss the upcoming Sport Card Expo Virtual Edition 2.0. We will once again be there with the Puck Junk booth and will hopefully be part of the show in some way, shape or form.  More news to come on that front.

Latest Puck Junk Podcast: The One In Which We Tear Into the New 2020-21 O-Pee-Chee

We haven't had a new show in about a month or so but it's time to put out a new show. In the latest episode, Sal and I discuss the trade frenzy that has kicked off the off-season, the Cup win by the Lightning, and the draft. We also discuss the upcoming Virtual Expo 2.0 and new hockey card releases.

We then take a detailed look at the new 2020-21 O-Pee-Chee Hockey card set by Upper Deck. Sal & I both opened a box and give our opinions and breakdown on this juggernaut of an early season release.

Check it out where you get your Pods.

The Latest Puck Junk Podcast - The One In Which We Go Viral

In the latest episode of the Puck Junk Podcast, Sal and I discuss the virtual shut down of the world due to the Corona Virus.  We also discuss the 2019-20 Upper Deck Allure set since we both had a chance to open a box finally.  Then we dip back into the listener mailbag to answer some questions.  It's a fun show that fills some hockey talk in this very stressful and uncertain time.  Check it out on one of the links below

Podcast. Yes, you heard me. PODCAST!

Since i pretty much hang out on Twitter almost exclusively, there have been very few blog posts. I should remedy that and I'm truly working on it. So what better way to fix my general laziness to blogging than to start another project.

Yes, kids. Your friendly DFG had entered the world of the Podcast. But don't fear.  I'm not entering it alone.  My partner in cardboard crime is along for the ride (more like he's driving the train). Sal from Puck Junk and I have started a, hopefully, weekly podcast devoted to our love of the hobby, hockey cards, and anything else we care to blather on about.

Our first episode has been posted for your listening pleasure. Feel free to leave comments, hopefully constructive. Save your flames for the bbq grill. Oh and I know my voice sounds like I took the Ice Bucket Challenge without removing the bucket. I'm working on that. First episode rust, we'll call it.

The One Card Challenge

Sal, over at Puck Junk, is hosting a contest/charity event for everyone of the set builders out there in the hockey blog-o-land.  All you need to do is find your sets with that one pesky card that keeps alluding it's home, post about it, and wait for someone to send it to you.  That's it!  How much easier can this be?

Oh, and to help you out...you can win some prizes too.

I know what you are thinking...this isn't the first time this has been done.  Well, it's the first time I have ever seen it done exclusively for hockey.  So shut it, and just go there already.  Contest ends at the end of the month...although, I think the challenge should continue indefinitely.
